3D Metrology Interface

3D Volume & Bounding Box

For `.stl`, `.ply`, or `.obj` files, the metrology tool calculates the exact physical properties of the object.

Volume Integral

Calculates the mesh volume using the divergence theorem. Ideal for estimating material costs.

Oriented Bounding Box

Finds the minimal box that encloses the object, regardless of its rotation. Useful for packaging.

2D Optical Measurement

Upload a photo with a reference marker (or known pixel-to-mm ratio) to measure feature sizes.

  • Edge Detection: Automatically finds edges of the part.
  • Contour Analysis: Measures the maximum length and width of the largest contour.
  • Pixel Ratio: Manually input `pixels_per_mm` or let the system detect a calibration coin.
